Kim Kardashian’s net worth is impressive. But, WHAT is Kim Kardashian? Well, a Kim Kardashian is brand, a socialite, a reality show star, a model and we suppose (if you’re feeling generous) you can call her an entrepreneur (however, she’s nothing like Bill Gates). She’s also becoming a lawyer!

Kim was born back on October 21, 1980. Unlike Taylor swift who only had one brother, Kim was the second of four children born to the late Robert Kardashian, who of course was famous for being one of O.J. Simpson’s defense attorneys during his murder trial.

Even with her father being best friends with one of the most controversial athletes in history, Kim Kardashian claimed her childhood was fairly normal. They attended church every Sunday morning and it was expected that Kim and her siblings would stop living off the family dime once they turned 18. Of course, no one knew Kim Kardashian’s net worth would explode a short decade later.

While attending high school, Kim worked for her father’s company, and when he unexpectedly passed away, the corporation was left to her and her siblings. She and her siblings mainly focused on fashion. They even opened a boutique shop in Calabasas back in 2006.

And then in early 2007, Kim Kardashian’s life changed forever. A sex tape featuring her and rapper Ray J was leaked and found a home at Vivid Entertainment, a large adult film company.

They paid $1 million for the rights of the 30-minute tape. Kim fired back against Vivid sued them for the invasion of privacy. She was prepared to take them to court but instead settled for a $5 million agreement just three months later.

Later in 2007, Keeping up with the Kardashians premiered on the E! Network and because of Kim’s newfound fame, the show was a success. In 2008, Kim was the most Googled celebrity and signed on to become the face of Bongo Jeans, and ever since then, it’s been one brand deal after the other.

The reality show didn’t just make Kim famous, it made her entire family famous. While no one had dragged out, physical fights like Conor McGregor, fans would agree their reality show was raw and real.

And, it made everyone in her family (except maybe her brother Rob) are extremely successful millionaires.

Heck, one sibling (Kylie Jenner) just became a billionaire. Last checked, Kim Kardashian’s net worth was a more modest $350 million, but if you combine that with her husband Kanye West’s net worth, they have just over $500 million.

It’s interesting because in 2016, Kim had a net worth of around $85 million and Kanye’s net worth was around $150 million. Fast forward to 2019, and Kim is reportedly worth $100 million more than her husband.
