The largest building in the world by volume is The Boeing Everett Factory, in Everett, Washington. With a volume of 472,370,319 cubic feet (1.7495e+7yd³) and an area of almost 100 acres (40 ha 4685.6m2), it was originally built for the construction of the Boeing 747.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest sausage was made by J.J. Tranfield on behalf of Asda Stores Plc, at Sheffield, United Kingdom in October 2000. With a length of 36.75 miles (59.143 kilometers), it’s almost the width of Rhode Island.

The largest thermometer in the world is 134-feet-tall (40.843m) and was built by businessman Willis Herron in Baker, California. The thermometer is supposed to serve as a memento of the highest recorded temperature in the U.S. measured in nearby Death Valley – 134 degrees Fahrenheit (56.6 Celsius) in 1913.

Located in Nackawic, New Brunswick, Canada, the world´s largest axe stands 49 feet tall (14.9m) and weighs over 55 tons (49t 895.16kg). It was commissioned, designed and built in 1991 by a company in Woodstock. This giant axe symbolizes the importance of the forest industry in the region.

The world’s largest motorcycle was built by Gregory Dunham in 2005. Called “Dream Big“, the 11 feet tall (3.35m), 20 feet long (6.09m), 6,500-pound (2948kg 350.17g) monster bike took him 3 years of crafting. In spite of its giant dimensions, the bike is absolutely ride-able.

Prepared by Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, Minnesota in September 2012, the hamburger was topped with 52.5 pounds (23kg 813.6g) of tomatoes, 50 pounds (22kg 679.62g) of lettuce, 60 pounds (27kg 215.54g) of onions, 20 pounds (9kg 71.847g) of pickles, 40 pounds (18kg 143.69g) of cheese and 16.5 pounds (7kg 484.27g) of bacon. Located in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park in Vietnam, Son Doong Cave is the largest cave in the world. With a length of 30,000 feet (9144.om) and a depth of almost 500 feet (152.40m) , Son Doòng overtook the world primacy from the Deer Cave in Malaysia which used be the largest cave before Son Doong was discovered in 1991. The cave also contains some of the tallest known stalagmites in the world.

The Great Pumpkin Commonwealth – a sanctioning body for contest of giant fruits and vegetables – declared that this giant melon was an incredible 42.5 lbs (19kg 277.67g) heavier than the previous world record, set by Gabriele Bartoli in Italy in 2012.

The world´s largest floating vessel is the giant ship “Prelude” owned by Shell. With a length of 1,601 feet (487.9m) it’s longer than the height of the Empire State Building. The Prelude is expected to launch in 2017 and will then operate in a remote part of Western Australia where it will serve as a floating liquefied natural gas facility.
