Link25 (321) – The Turkey Day Edition

It’s that time of year again where countless Americans do what they do best: give thanks. Just kidding. They engorge themselves with turkey, stuffing, and pie before heading out to their favorite store, stand in a long line, and fight over that new 4k TV. That’s right, it’s Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday week. And while you wait in line shopping for Christmas presents, I’ll be here, providing you with the best of the internet, including memes, videos, and articles.

Kidding aside, Thanksgiving truly is a time to pause and reflect on all life’s blessings. And, as we’ve covered before, being thankful is really, really good for you.  The benefits are enormous. However, I know for many Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holiday season is a lonely and painful affair. Yet, even in the darkest of times, it’s good to have a heart of gratitude, to look beyond yourself, and not take things for granted. It’s tough but well worth it.

From all of us here at List 25, we hope your Thanksgiving week was bright and full of joy. With that said, here’s Link25 (321) – The Turkey Day Edition.

“It’s going to be a good night out to get their minds off what’s happened,” one of the organizers, Jeannette Bermudez, told NBC News on Monday (Click image to continue article).

Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, and while media coverage of the event often focuses on sales and discounts, crowds — impatient crowds, desperate crowds, violent crowds — have always played a central role as well. In fact, the name of the event, which dates back to Philadelphia in the 1950s, is a reference not to businesses getting their ledgers back in the black but to heavy foot traffic (Click image to continue article).
