Henry Fonda

On Golden Pond brought Henry Fonda his only Oscar (for best actor) but with that one Oscar he broke the record for oldest recipient of the award at 76 years. It also earned him a Golden Globe Best Actor award. Fonda was too ill to attend the ceremony, however, and his daughter Jane accepted on his behalf.

Jessica Tandy

At 80 years Jessica Tandy became the oldest actress to receive the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Driving Miss Daisy (1989), for which she also won a BAFTA and a Golden Globe.
