This simulation video game by Kairosoft was developed for Android and iOS operating systems. Released on October 9, 2010, it follows a video game company that attempts to expand into a sales powerhouse. The role of the player is to control the game and the direction of the company.
An action puzzle game, Scribblenauts Remix was developed by 5th Cell and Iron Galaxy Studios and was published on October 12, 2011 by Warner Bros. Interactive. It makes use of built-in features of iOS and was released simultaneously with iOS version 5.
Plants vs Zombies
A tower defense video game that was released in 2009, Plants vs. Zombies was originally published by PopCap Games for OS X and Microsoft Windows. It primarily involves a homeowner who uses a broad selection of plants to prevent a group of zombies from “eating their brains.” It has become one of the fastest selling video games of PopCap.
In this 3rd person action adventure game, the player takes on the role of a young blacksmith’s apprentice named Horn. This character wakes up to the sight of his land overrun by large and fantastic monsters, which are actually people and animals transformed by a curse. The objective of the game is to solve puzzles that will help Horn undo the curse.
NOVA: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance
NOVA: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance is an action-adventure video game that was initially introduced by Gameloft for iPod and other Apple products. It was released on December 17, 2009 for WebOS and iOS but was later released on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
Cut the Rope: Experiments
Released on August 4, 2011 as a sequel to Cut the Rope, Cut the Rope: Experiments closely matches its prequel in terms of gameplay and presentation, only that it introduces novel gameplay elements, storyline and characters. In this game, the Professor provides running commentary over the course of the game while players unlock new levels to gather hidden photos that lead to solving the mystery behind the character of Om Nom.
This role-playing video game was published by Squarae Enix and developed by Media Vision. Released on April 20, 2010 for iOS, it was eventually ported to the Windows Phone 7 and Android platforms. This game basically takes place in Ark Arena and features four scenarios, each played by two story characters in different worlds.

Asphalt 4: Elite Racing is a racing game that was developed by Gameloft. Released on August 28, 2008 on iOS and iPod, this game was the first game in the Asphalt series to have ever been released for the iOS. It closely resembles the Need for Speed series as its main gameplay involves the player starting out with just one or two basic cars and then earning money by winning races.

In this management simulation game, the player has a small mall which he has to expand through adding more stores and building more floors. By doing this and creating new modes of transportation, satisfying customers and keeping them away from competitors, the player has to be able to elevate himself to a 5-star status.
Bastion is an action role-playing video game published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and produced by Supergiant Games. In this game, a “kid” is being controlled by the player as he moves through various fantasy-themed environments and battles against different types of enemies. This video game was built over two years and was debuted at the September 2010 Penny Arcade Expo.
Real Racing 3
This 2013 racing video game was developed by Firemonkeys Studios and was released on February 28, 2013 on iOS and Android. Published by Electronic Arts for BlackBerry 10, Nvidia Shield, iOS and Android, it is a sequel to Real Racing and Real Racing 2. It features ten licensed tracks, 88 officially licensed cars and 22 car grids.
Another puzzle video game developed by Rovio Entertainment, Bad PIggies is a spin-off from Angry Birds and was launched on September 27, 2012 on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows. In this game, the player controls the pigs and creates devices that travel on both air and land to search for pieces of a map that will help the pigs take away the eggs from the Angry Birds.

More commonly known as The Walking Dead: Game or The Walking Dead: Season One, The Walking Dead is a graphic adventure game that was developed by Telltale Games and released in 2012. It involves five episodes and is currently available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, iOS, OS X, Microsoft Windows, Android, Kindle Fire, PlayStation Vita and HDX.

It was released for Apple’s iOS in December 2009 and has consistently been praised for its low price, comical style and addictive gameplay. Since it was launched, it has had over 2 billion downloads across all platforms.
A fast-paced 2D stealth platform video game, Stealth Inc.: A Clone in the Dark features red pixels galore, puzzles, merciless enemies and brutal hazards. It is commonly likened to both Super Meat Boy and Metal Gear Solid because of its gameplay, which involves lots of sneaking and jumping.
World of Goo
This puzzle video game was published and developed by 2D Boy. Released on December 13, 2008 on Wii and Microsoft Windows, this game has won several gaming awards since its release, including Design Innovation Award and Seumas McNally Grand Prize. Divided into five chapters, it involves creating huge structures through the use of balls of goo.
Candy Crush Saga
This match-three puzzle video game was released on November 14, 2012 for smartphones and on April 12, 2012 for Facebook. Developed by King, this game surpassed FarmVille 2 in March 2013 as the most popular game on Facebook with its more than 46 million monthly users. An expansion of this game was introduced in December 2013.
The World Ends with You: Solo Remix
An iOS port of The World Ends with You, this video game was first unveiled on August 26, 2012 and was released on April 27, 2012 for iPad 2+ and iPhone 4 +. Among its new features are its redrawn visuals, expanded soundtrack that features new songs and remixes, twitter integration and revamped battle system.
Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery
Created by Superbrothers and Capybara Games, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP was initially released for iOS devices but later had a version for Microsoft Windows via Steam. In this game, the user chooses and taps where he wants the character to go. This game incorporates an accelerometer, allowing the character to take out his sword.
A newly released free to play iOS game by Taito, Groove Coaster is a semi-sequel to the previous release of the video game under the same title but with added social components and free-to-play for better appeal. It is available from the Apple App Store and offers free bonus content to gamers.
Developed by Playdead, this puzzle-platform video game was released in July 2010. It is a 2D side scroller video game that incorporates the physics system Box2D to control the player character and the environmental objects involved in the game. In this game, the player directs an anonymous boy as he makes his way through dangerous landscapes.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour
This 2012 first-person shooter video game; published and developed by Gameloft Montreal, is the fourth installation in the Modern Combat series. A sequel to Modern Combat: Sandstorm of 2009, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus of 2010 and Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation of 2011, this game begins with one of the protagonists of Fallen Nation, Lieutenant Walker.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Released on October 9, 2012 in North America, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is another tactical role-playing video game that was published by 2K Games and developed by Firaxis Games. It is basically a reimagined remake of the video game UFO: Enemy Unknown, a cult classic strategy game that rose to popularity in 1994.
Infinity Blade II
This action role-playing video game was developed by Chair Entertainment and Epic Games and was released on December 1, 2011 through the Apple App Store. In this game, the character explores the world by way of an “on-rails” mechanic and is repetitively killed and reborn to advance to the next stage.
