In the past days, New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and many other cities on the East Coast were hit by what has been labeled as “snowpocalypse”–one of the worst snow storms in decades. Killing at least 19 people, the blizzard pummeled the East Coast last Friday and Saturday, blanketing the area with enormous (in some places even record-breaking) levels of snow. With more than 85 million people across more than a dozen US states warned to stay at home, the snow storm literally paralyzed traffic in a number of cities and states, even forcing airlines to cancel thousands of flights. Known as the snow storm Jonas, the blizzard also caused destructive floods in many ocean-front areas and destroyed hundreds of buildings. As the deadly storm left the US, more and more photos showing the consequences of its unprecedented ravage have been posted and shared on the internet. If you were lucky enough to be spared from the worst of the devastating blizzard, check out this post featuring 25 Incredible Photos Showing The Extent Of The 2016 Snowpocalypse.
