Extremely bizarre theme parks come in all shapes, sizes, and levels of weird. From wedding traditions to food, different cultures find different things to be strange. A theme park full of vomiting rats might be weird to some and perfectly normal (and apparently it is) to others. This three billion square foot monstrosity features numerous attractions including the world’s largest waterpark and lifelike reconstructions of the Pyramids, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the Eiffel Tower.

World Waterpark, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

With a size of over 20 hectares, this is the world’s largest indoor water park. Opened to the public in 1986, it’s located in West Edmonton Mall, itself the fifth largest mall in the world.

Parque Jaime Duque, Bogotá, Colombia

Built by Jaime Duque Grisales, a famous Colombian aviator, as a gift to his fellow Colombians, this park probably features the strangest mix of attractions of any park on this list with 700 bizarre scultpures including a male statue of liberty.

This 75,000-square-foot amusement park re-creates a 19th-century Dickensian town full of hunger, criminals, and even a Great Expectations boat ride.

BonBon-Land, Denmark

Getting its name from the popular Danish candy, this them park is full of gross animal attractions like vomiting rats and urinating ants. It may seem strange, but supposedly, it has something to do with the various names of the candies like “bird droppings” and “dead flies.”

Built on what Buddhists consider a sacred site, this park is is filled with aquariums, thousands of crocodiles, and a unicorn palace. We’re not completely sure how those things come together.

As the world’s largest indoor park, it covers more than 2 million square feet, and on its roof, it features the largest Ferrari logo on Earth.

Located in Singapore, this theme park features folklore out of Chinese literature. You’ll find various tributes to Confucianism as well as several extremely strange sculptures scattered about.

Started by Ron and Carla Bluntschli of Haiti, they wanted to let people experience life as a slave. Participants are given clothing, food, and experience a day in the life of a slave that actually ends with a rebellion.

For just a little over 30 dollars, visitors to this park can experience one of most insane rides in the world. In fact, it has even been used by scientists to simulate a near-death experience.

Divo Ostrov (Wonder Island), St. Petersburg, Russia

With some of the most terrifying rides in the eastern hemisphere, this park just outside of St Petersburg, Russia, doesn’t have the best safety track record either. Apparently, it’s meant to be family friendly, too.

Not really concerning themselves with copyright laws, this amusement park features numerous rides ripped off from popular video games like World of Warcraft.

Hacienda Napoles, Colombia

This family friendly theme park in Colombia gives visitors a chance to hang out with exotic animals and visit its museum. In order to get there, though, you have to pass under the gate seen above, and that plane on top isn’t just any plane; it’s the same plane Pablo Escobar used to bring his first load of cocaine to the United States.

The Holy Land Experience, Orlando, Florida

This theme park takes many different approaches to presenting the Bible. There are dramatic reenactments that break out, almost flash-mob style, models of Biblical towns and structures, and educational seminars led by various scholars and theologians, among other things.
