Airplane Graveyard
Officially named the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), this is the world’s largest airplane boneyard and is found in Tuscon, Arizona. It’s typical inventory holds roughly 4,400 aircrafts which include F-16s, F-4 Phantom IIs, and B-52 Stratofortress bombers. If you’re a fan of aviation history, this would be the place to be.
Lion Point
It’s amazing what someone can do with a lawnmower. Located in Dunstable in the United Kingdom, this mowed plot of land is called The Lion Point and is very close to the ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
Huge Bunny
A massive bunny sculpture was once visible from space, but now it’s mostly gone. It was located in Italy and had been a 200-foot sculpture knitted by a Viennese art collective called Gelitin.
Giant Swimming Pool
A giant swimming pool was found off a river in Berlin, Germany. It’s called Badeschiff and is accessible to the public for various activities like beach parties, yoga, and stand up paddling.
Desert Pattern
Called “Desert Breath,” this beautiful and mysterious circle can be found in Egypt. First built in 1997, the creators placed 89 matching cones and depressions in the sand and expected it to erode over time.
Waldo
Who doesn’t like to try to find Waldo? Well, in this case, he might not be too difficult to spot if you’re in an airplane. As part of an art project, Waldo was placed on this undisclosed building.
Come on down and play
We all know Memphis is herald as a land of music. So, it’s not much of a surprise they’d put a sign on top of this building asking you to come on down and play. Perhaps you should take them up on it?
Massive Crater
It might not look too big from space, but this massive meteor crater will take your breath away up close. It appeared when a 26,000 mile an hour asteroid collided with Earth 50,000 years ago.
Nevada Desert Triangle
A popular tourist attraction, this is the Nevada Desert Triangle and is considered to be a former bombing test site for the military.
Shipwreck
Google Earth spotted a shipwreck in Basrah, Iraq on the Arvand Rood River. It’s considered a tourist attraction now.
Solar Energy Field
Solar farms can power thousands of homes. So, it’s no surprise Google Earth found one in California. It’s like a giant shiny mirror on the face of the Earth.
Mattel Symbol
Mattel has been around for quite a while, creating beloved toys for kids. Looks like the toy company wants everyone to know where they are located.
Hippo Pool
Hippos are fantastic swimmers and love to be in a nice body of water. It’s no surprise Google Earth discovered this pool full of Hippos. We, of course, would not recommend taking a swim with them.
Badlands Head
You might be surprised to know a giant head makes up a portion of the Badlands. It’s called the Badlands Guardian and is stunningly similar to a human…even though no human hands created it.
Star Fort
Also called Fort Henricus, this star fort is located in the Netherlands. It was created to help defend against an invasion from the coast. It was eventually demolished in 1812.
Coca-Cola Symbol
Coca-Cola loves to advertise in every part of the world. We’re not sure if they’re behind this symbol in Chile, but either way, it’s another great way to advertise their product.
Swastika Building
The architect of this naval base in San Diego must not have thought this one through. But we’ll go ahead and hope they never intended to make a swastika shape.
Northern Cyprus Flag
This is a quite impressive rendering of the Northern Cyprus Flag. According to Weird Google Earth.com, the words to the left of it are translated into English as “How happy is the one who says ‘I am Turkish.'”
Monkey Face
In Chukotskiy, Russia, this is called the Monkey Face. And yeah, it’s very creepy.
Jesus Loves You
A giant “Jesus Loves You” sign can be found at the Mountain Meadow Christian Center in Boise, Idaho.
Guitar Forest
If you ever wanted to visit a forest shaped like a guitar, head on out to Cordoba, Argentina. They’ve got just the place.
Giant Target
Located in the Nevada desert, there’s not a lot of information surrounding this giant target, but we’ll wager it’s another bombing test site by the military.
Heart-Shaped Lake
Right near Cleveland, Ohio, this Heart-Shaped Lake might be a great retreat for any couple on a romantic getaway.
Batman Symbol
Usually, the Bat signal is shot into the sky, but in this particular case, it’s on top of a building. We’re guessing this is not the location of the Batcave. But who’s to say?
The Atacama Giant
Created by indigenous cultures between 1,000 and 1,400 CE, the Atacama Giant is one of the largest geoglyphs in the world; its used to predict the weather as the image-tracked the time of year.
