It makes sense to have London on a global list that needs to cover the entire globe rather than mentioning 25 cities in latin america and Asia. London is not one of the safest cities in the world at all, it might be in zone 1 and part of zone 2 but among the remaining 4and a half zones (where the majority of the population is concentrated) there are often squallid and unsafe areas, sometimes extremely dangerous. Also the presence of hundreds of small gangs fighting each other and threatening honest citizens doesn’t help. No one remember about the riots?? Of course you have to remember that Ilford, Tottenham, Peckham etc. are part of London, not only Notting Hill and Chelsea
Tourist Cities are actually Dangerous, especially when it comes to Bashings, in Australia a place called “Surfers Paradise” is one such place,,at night Thugs seek out unsuspecting Tourists,,who are Often Bashed,,outside clubs and in the streets,,also rocks are thrown at Buses at Night,,rather awful place.

In recent time the lagos state of nigeria crime rate has reduced with the help of the nigerian police and army. The problem of nigeria is the northern part of the country. You have mentioned Muzaffarabad (Azad Kashmir) on #13 but have posted a picture of Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir). Let me assure you that there is no war going on in Muzaffarabad (or in Azad Kashmir); it is Jammu & Kashmir (under Indian occupation) which is home to 700,000 (yes, seven hundred thousand) military personnel. So my point: there is a huge difference between “Azad Kashmir (where Muzaffarabad is situated)” and “Jammu & Kashmir”.
How Kingston Jamaica is not on this list and a world class city like London is. discredits this list totally. Kingston Jamaica would make top 5 or 10 on any credible updated list

I think Norwich is very dangerous, farmers doing drive-by in their tractors, Vicars from the Cathedral bashing people with Bibles. Grannies from the local WI (Norwich Mafia) mugging tourists. I was once seriously attacked by a escaped Turkey down the high street just before Christmas and nearly died eating Delia Smith food at Carrow Rd. Yes Norfolk is a very violent city indeed.

London is one of the safest city in Europe and in the World, I live there and i’ve lived there for very long time! Also I’m surprise that Naples in Italy isn’t on there! I was born and use to live there till when i was 18-19 years old I’m from there and it is mental! Corruption is hight and the Camorra is every where, drugs are so easy to buy all day every day….From the organised crime and obviously the police doesn’t do any thing, police is very corrupted.
Organised crime, Families dispute are usually very active in the city with shootings between rivals and has happened many times that innocent people got killed by mistake.
Also after the scandal of the toxic waste in the different areas of Naples by the Camorra the vegetations, farm animals aren’t healthy anymore actually full of poison very lethal and the rubbish around city is quite disgusting.

It is a hazard just as any city and it is as any place with a high population a danger to people who go the wrong way. Half the places on this list are better or actually relitivly safe compaired by far to things that should have been on this list instead.
When I was younger me and my friends used to go party at Juarez. I remember we would be able to pay off the police officers with just 10 American dollars, that’s why the city became the way it is now corrupt officers.

This list was a joke as soon as London made the top 25. London is an upper class city and it’s bad parts are quite mild. 16 murders in six months? NYC would average sixteen murders in 16 days.

The WORST of the WORST cities in the United States would be PARADISE in most areas of Mexico, Africa, Middle East, Asia, etc… If I had to choose Id rather be in St. Louis at night than even a place like Kingston Jamaica which didn’t even make the list.. Dangerous cities honestly the list is too intense..capetown, joberg,mexico city, manila, ect ect anywhere there is a high amount of poverty, corruption, and low paid police you will find one hell of a dangerous place to go to..When i wnet to cuba with my girlfriend last year, u can feel the poverty around you. every one wants a tip just for looking at you, the immigration officer making his 30 dollars a month, the cuban cops, the hotel maid manager door guy everyone wants your dollars..its a dangerous world so maybe you should stay inside with mommy and hide under the bed..lol.best advice as i have been to eight countries, hide your passport, dont flash your money,remember women are a commodity, and that sweet thing in that bar in riga could find you in a hotel room with no money, no memory, and a huge credit card bill..avoid these insane places ..your just fish food…..word of advice when you travel be realistic being cautious and negative in thought will save your life

Dont believe this chart at all. I have lived in Moscow for 5 years, total relax! I could walk all night through without any problems, just need to be carefull like everywhere!! London is great also, so i see no problems with these cities! That s just stupid reputation for Moscow that it is a dangerous place.. that s why noone goes there. but in fact that s not true at all, moscow is beautiful, full of energy and great people!!! who will take you as a part of themselves and will open their hearts to you. Actually, this list brings up cities with different kinds of problems. For instance, no matter how dangerous Detroit is, it looks like paradise next to bagdah. Also, there’s tons of towns in Africa more dangerous than Ciudade Juarez, but it came in 1st place because of the way crime has evolved in this city, in terms of getting completely out of control due to drug, and considering it is practically an industrialized country, while in most places in africa there isn’t any kind of control at all, so then it’s not news that africa is violent.
