overall the list isnt that great because it picks and chooses what the criteria is for each animal…ie mosquitos kill millions of people vs poison dart frog’s venom is super lethal but kills a much smaller amount of people than alot of other predators…furthermore, the posion dart frog uses its venom as protection by ensuring that whoever tries to eat it dies, rather than running around attacking animals by rubbing themselves on them…i think the list would be better suited if it took the aggressiveness of the animal into account…

I, for one quite like this list. Although it has left out some really dangerous animals, its a good outline of the types of things animals are capable of. Most of the creatures in this list are dangerous, but there are not so many human victims as result of their deadlines. More dangerous to humans are some domestic animal like donkeys and cows. The kill much more humans than lions, crocodiles, sharks, snakes and jellyfishes combined.
Killer Whale would destroy everything on this list. It takes out Great Whites fact. Throw an elephant in the sea and its toast full stop. Human consumption tick. Also Lion does not beat a Tiger standard.
Remind me how many times human’s or many land animals run into a killer whale? Compared to snakes and spiders and the like

you should see how humans kill some animals, especially the ones they kill for their fur. but come one humans should not count. we are not animals and we all act differently. whereas animals act on insticts alone. a lion will attack you just like any other lion would.
thats ignorant as hell animals only attack in the wild to protect their families and for food. They attack humans cause they see us as a threat (and they are usually right). Many other organisms have complex humanlike emotions so to say that they all only act off instinct and that they never save people cause they often do

The picture in #20 is a cowrie which is not poisonous and #21 is a scorpion fish which IS poisonous but not as much as the stone fish mentioned in the text…

What about humans? Capable of killing? Certainly. Venomous/poisonous? Not exactly, but humans do also transmit deadly diseases very frequently. Also, lots of weapons to work with, such that the killer doesn’t even need to make physical contact with the victim. Attacking without discernible provocation? Often. Capable of doing things arguably worse than killing you? Very much so. Throw in almost universal presence and the ability to formulate complex methods of killing more efficiently, more effectively, and more certainly, and you’ve got a fairly dangerous species on your hands. I realize that the 25 above were referring to non-human animals, but it is rather frightening to think that, scary as some of these are, other humans can be much more of a threat.
Still, if you touch or piss off a randomly-chosen human you’re very likely to survive the encounter.
What about Australian snakes? 5 of the top 10 (6 if you include the yellow bellied seasnake) most venomous snakes come from Australia. And also ants, esp fire ants. I don’t think mosquitoes and tse tse fly should be included as they carry the disease that causes death. Rats and mice could fit into that category then.

Snow leopards are indeed found in many parts of asia and south east asia and are becoming vulnerable due to inhuman activities.
