Posted by on May 7, 2014

The Ivanpah Solar Power Facility located in California’s Mojave Desert, is known as the largest solar power plant in the world spanning over 3,500 acres with more than 70% of the space occupied by hundreds of solar panels. It’s estimated that the complex will reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by more than 400,000 tons per year while producing 377 megawatts of electricity (enough power to serve 140,000 homes during the peak hour of the day). Check out this marvelous sight with these 25 photos of the world’s largest solar plant.
